With more than 350,000 innovative shelf labels from Vusion Group, Phoenix has digitalized the price communication of its network of BENU pharmacies in Switzerland. With the outstanding support of VusionGroup’s team and the service provider Ivalis, Phoenix managed to install the solution across its pharmacy network in only three months – with all 100 stores converted by end of May 2024.
Phoenix chose VusionGroup because they were able to supply their excellent 4-color labels in a great variety of sizes. VusionGroup’s extensive selection of fixing methods ensured the compatibility with the different environment and setups of the different pharmacies.
Phoenix praises the saving of paper and printing costs as well as the increase of efficiency as their pharmacy staff has more time for the customer as price changes are fully automated. Customers can trust that the price is up-to-date and there are no wrong price labels anymore. Connected with VusionManager, the BENU pharmacies can be managed more efficiently, streamlining their operations.
The Swiss pharmacy operator is now also testing VusionGroups EngageRail. Phoenix is excited about the solution to further elevate their customer experience, states Carina Bohn, Pricing Manager at PHOENIX group HQ: “With the ongoing innovations of VusionGroup, the possibilities are endless.”

The partnership aimed to modernize pricing communication and store operations at BENU pharmacies by deploying scalable digital shelf solutions that improve accuracy, efficiency, and associate productivity.
More than 100 BENU pharmacy locations in Switzerland were equipped with VusionGroup’s digital shelf labels in only three months, demonstrating rapid deployment at scale.
Pharmacies saw reduced paper and printing costs, improved pricing accuracy, and greater operational efficiency. Automated price updates freed up staff time for customer service rather than manual label changes.
VusionGroup supplied electronic shelf labels (ESLs) and the VusionCloud platform with the intuitive Vusion Manager interface, enabling centralized pricing updates, streamlined workflows, and better data-driven store management.
Customers benefit from consistently accurate, up-to-date pricing and clearer in-store information, which builds trust and enhances their pharmacy visit. Freeing staff from manual tasks also allows associates to focus more on high-value customer interactions.
The project illustrates how digital IoT retail solutions like ESLs can rapidly scale across store networks and deliver measurable efficiency gains, supporting broader digital transformation strategies in global retail sectors beyond pharmacies.
